Evolution marks 20 years from single Latvia studio to global live casino leader

Evolution is marking its 20th anniversary, with the live casino supplier having grown from a single studio in Latvia to operating more than 2,000 live tables across multiple continents with over 22,000 employees worldwide.

Speaking with SBC, Adrian Westman, Head of Communications at Evolution, traced the company’s trajectory from its 2006 launch to its current position as the market’s dominant live casino provider.

“Innovation and focus” have defined the company’s path, Westman said. Evolution began with one studio in Latvia and has since expanded to more than 2,000 live tables with over 22,000 employees across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

“The dedication and talent of our employees have been the engine of Evolution’s success and growth,” Westman told SBC. “Our approach has stayed the same: Invest in our operations, elevate the experience, and expand carefully.”

Building the modern live casino category

Westman argued that Evolution effectively created the modern live casino category. When the company launched, players were skeptical that games were actually broadcast live. To prove authenticity, Evolution placed tube television sets behind game hosts showing live news feeds, allowing players to verify they were watching real-time broadcasts.

The company later moved beyond traditional table games into game shows, launching titles including Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time, and MONOPOLY Live. According to Westman, these releases “turned online casino content into interactive entertainment” and brought in new player demographics.

“When something resonates with players, the industry pays attention,” he said. “Our effort to be better every day and the relentless work of our employees help us stay ahead of the game.”

Over 100 launches in 2025 alone

Evolution has sustained a rapid release schedule, launching 113 titles in 2025 across both live and random number generator categories. Westman framed the pace as necessary to maintain market position.

“Scale without innovation fades quickly,” he explained. The company’s pipeline includes core tables, new formats, and what Westman described as “distinct, high-quality offerings across live casino entertainment and online slots.”

The supplier has also expanded its studio network across four continents this year, a move Westman said goes beyond adding capacity. “It is about delivering true linguistic and cultural immersion for players, while maintaining a strong commitment to following regional regulations.”

Hasbro partnership and converging formats

Evolution’s partnership with Hasbro has become central to its product strategy. Westman described the deal as long-term, allowing Evolution to combine “global IP with our production and game design.” MONOPOLY Live is the most visible result to date, with Westman indicating further Hasbro-branded releases are planned.

The company is also blurring the line between live and RNG content. “Licensed RNG mechanics now enhance live game shows, adding new layers of excitement and engagement for players, while we also expand on our classic RNG offering, like slots,” Westman said.

Evolution launched its new website and newsroom alongside the anniversary, aiming to streamline communication and increase visibility for the company’s product pipeline and studio expansions.
