ThrillTech has secured a Category A1 Manufacturer’s Licence from Greece’s Hellenic Gaming Commission, becoming the first specialist iGaming jackpot provider licensed in the country. The approval allows the company to offer its ThrillPots side-bet jackpot product to regulated operators in the Greek market.
The licence from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) marks ThrillTech’s entry into another European regulated market, expanding the reach of its side-bet jackpot technology across the continent.
Giles Potter, Chief Marketing Officer at ThrillTech, said the company is especially proud of the approval. “As we continue to expand internationally, we’re especially proud of this approval, as it makes ThrillTech the first specialist iGaming jackpot provider to be licensed in Greece,” Potter stated.
The company plans to demonstrate how its side-bet jackpot model delivers new engagement mechanics that appeal to players while generating additional revenues for operator partners, according to Potter.
Independent technology model
ThrillTech secures its own regulatory licences and certifications because its jackpot technology operates independently of an iGaming operator’s casino games and betting products.
The side-bet jackpots don’t interfere with core game mathematics or alter a game’s return-to-player (RTP) probabilities. Instead, ThrillTech secures appropriate licences and certifications to operate its proprietary random number generator (RNG) software.
This RNG determines the outcomes of the independent side-bet jackpots, which have a separate operator-defined RTP and are funded by jackpot side bets placed by opted-in players.
Growing European and Americas footprint
Greece joins a list of European markets where ThrillTech is licensed or certified. The company now operates in the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, Romania, and Malta. The provider recently announced its entry into Gibraltar as well.
Beyond Europe, ThrillTech is licensed or certified to provide its services in markets across the Americas, including Brazil, Peru, and the Canadian province of Ontario.
